About the Celebrating Ordinary Moments Blog

Mission Statement
Thank you for checking out my blog. I started this blog to create a place where people are able to find inspiration and share ideas. I find myself surfing the web looking for inspiration that is unique and different. If I find an interesting tutorial I'll share it with you. I will include a "live" link back to the original blog, store or web site so that you may have the option to visit and learn more about the designer and other services, class or kits they may offer. By posting tutorials I am hoping to help inspire people that are interested in creating something fresh and new.

Oilivia Bear Swing Into Spring 12 x 12 Layout w/Tutorial

Design by Corrine Paul

Olivia Bear pattern by Corrine Paul

Hand cut and hand pieced Olivia Bear sitting in her swing

Finished title page with photo mat and journaling box

Finished page with 4 photo mats

I used the Fiskars stencil to help design the tree trunk

Starting page 1 deciding how to sit her on the swing

Coordinating page 2 with page 1

I use ink like most people use chalk

Photo mats are sewn

I used my small oval hole punch and made the rope look more like rope

Placing the photo mat on page 1

Placing the sewn journaling mat

Better picture of the little ovals lined up to look like rope

I added a yellow ribbon and little yellow heart shaped buckles to her shoes

I added few highlights and the layout is finished and ready to
