About the Celebrating Ordinary Moments Blog

Mission Statement
Thank you for checking out my blog. I started this blog to create a place where people are able to find inspiration and share ideas. I find myself surfing the web looking for inspiration that is unique and different. If I find an interesting tutorial I'll share it with you. I will include a "live" link back to the original blog, store or web site so that you may have the option to visit and learn more about the designer and other services, class or kits they may offer. By posting tutorials I am hoping to help inspire people that are interested in creating something fresh and new.

March Featured Designer, Kristi from My Scrap Chick

http://www.myscrapchick.com/new.htm

myscrapchick.com started years ago with Kristi's
passion for paper crafting. Not long after rave
reviews poured in for her quality designer pages,
her mother in law Val, joined the team. Together
they began turning all those amazing hand cut
paper piecing characters into the quality patterns.

"We are so blessed to work for ourselves doing what
we love, so when we started offering patterns, it was
only natural to allow our customer to use our patterns
to create an income of their own. Our angel policy
allows our customers to create handmade items for sale
allowing them the freedoms we currently enjoy" says Kristi.

Most of Kristi's inspiration comes from her two girls and
amazing supportive husband. When a crafter's block hits
(which happens to the best of us) she turns to her best
friend and mother in law, Val. "Val has been an amazing
artist for over 25 years, and her talent surpasses anything
I can dream up. It is so nice to have such a wonderful
connection with her. She is my mother in law, but most of
all my best friend. This unconditional relationship is perhaps
the backbone of myscrapchick.com We work well together,
it makes creating new things that much better!

Not only do they offer whimsical patterns, they
send out a free pattern to each of their newsletter
subscribers on a weekly basis.

It is always exciting to see what is next with myscrapchick.
If you haven't checked out their site, you can do that here
