Dinosaur Altered Candy Tin w/ Tutorial

Made by Corrine Paul

Pattern Used: Little Scraps of Heaven Designs
Dinosaur Pals Collection

Tins bought at any Dollar General, Dollar Tree, etc. These tins had Artisan Rolled Wafers in them.... and, "YES" they were awfully darn good!!

Measuring and cutting the card stock to cover the tins

I cut the card stock long enough to over flap the other end

Adhering the strips around the lid

I used the actual lid as the stencil to measure the card stock for the top of the lid.
I cut it a little larger and then trimmed it after I attached it.

Tins are done. I am keeping this simple and easy

I choose the Recollections Cardstock paper PRIMARY colors collection

I rub a pencil on the back side of the pattern so I can trace the pattern on the cardstock

I quickly ink the edges of the pieces

Attached the pieces of the pattern

Finished Dinosaurs

I attached the dinosaurs to the tins. I was thinking these would be so cute filled with jellybeans, Hershey Candy Kisses, Peppermint sticks, or Oreo Cookies and put in a gift basket or just a little gift to someone special. I would possible add their name to the tin or Happy Birthday, etc. Although I think they are really cute the way they are~
